Whether you're visiting us for chiropractic care or massage therapy, we want your first visit to be as straightforward and comfortable as possible. Below you'll find information about booking, what to expect at your first appointment, forms, insurance and claims, parking and accessibility, and other helpful details before you arrive.

Booking Your Appointment
Chiropractic: New chiropractic patients should call the clinic to book their first appointment. Same-day appointments may be available.
Massage Therapy: New massage therapy clients can book online through Jane or call the clinic. Same-day appointments may be available, depending on therapist availability.
Please book an appointment before coming in. While same-day appointments may sometimes be available, we may not be able to accommodate walk-ins. New chiropractic appointments may require additional time for assessment and X-rays, and our massage therapists are often booked in advance.
Referrals: You do not need a referral to book chiropractic or massage therapy at our clinic. Some insurance or claims programs may have their own requirements, so please check your individual coverage.
What to Expect at Your First Visit
Chiropractic
Your first visit will include a review of your health history, an assessment and examination, and a discussion of your assessment findings. Treatment can usually begin at your first appointment unless there is a reason to postpone treatment.
If X-rays are clinically indicated, your chiropractor will provide a requisition and direct you to a nearby diagnostic imaging clinic. X-rays are covered by Saskatchewan Health, so there is no charge to you. In most cases, you can return to the clinic afterward, and your chiropractor can access the images to review them with you and continue your appointment. The formal radiology report is provided separately once it is available.
Please plan to allow approximately one hour for your first chiropractic visit. The amount of time needed can vary depending on your assessment and whether X-rays are required.
Massage Therapy
Your first massage therapy appointment includes a review of your health history, relevant assessment, a discussion of your treatment goals and informed consent, hands-on treatment, and appropriate post-treatment or home-care recommendations.
Your booked appointment time includes your entire visit. For example, a 60-minute massage appointment includes reviewing your health history, any relevant assessment, discussing your treatment goals and consent, hands-on treatment, getting ready before and after treatment, and any home-care or follow-up recommendations.
Want someone with you? You're welcome to have a support person, caregiver, family member, friend or interpreter accompany you into the treatment room if that would make you feel more comfortable.
Forms & Arriving for Your Appointment
Chiropractic
New patient forms can be completed when you arrive at the clinic, or we can email them to you ahead of time upon request. Please arrive a few minutes early to check in, use the washroom if needed, and get settled before your appointment.
Massage Therapy
Your intake form will be sent to you through Jane. Please complete it before your appointment whenever possible. If you prefer to complete a paper form at the clinic, please arrive 10–15 minutes early. If your intake form still needs to be completed or reviewed after your appointment begins, that time will be included as part of your booked appointment.
What to Bring
Please have your Saskatchewan health card information available if needed for X-rays or a WCB claim.
If you have Canada Life or GMS, please bring your insurance information. If your appointment is related to SGI, WCB, RCMP or Veterans Affairs Canada, please bring the applicable claim, identification or coverage information.
Insurance & Direct Billing
We offer direct billing for Canada Life when available under your plan. Coverage varies, so please confirm the details of your individual plan.
For GMS, payment is made to the clinic at the time of your appointment. We can submit the claim on your behalf, and GMS reimburses you directly according to your coverage.
We do not currently direct bill other extended health insurance providers. Receipts are provided so you can submit eligible expenses to your insurer.
We also direct bill eligible SGI, WCB, RCMP and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) claims. Requirements vary depending on the program.
SGI & WCB Claims
If your appointment is related to an SGI or WCB claim, please let us know when booking and provide your claim number. If you're booking massage therapy online, please identify the claim in your intake form as well.
WCB Massage Therapy
If you're seeking massage therapy through WCB, please contact the clinic before your first treatment. Your massage therapist must obtain WCB authorization before treatment begins, and approval can sometimes take a couple of weeks.
To request authorization, we'll need your:
- WCB claim number
- Saskatchewan health number
- Date of injury
- Employer/business name where the injury occurred
- Name of the doctor referring you for massage therapy
- Area of injury
If authorization has not been received before your appointment, you may be responsible for paying for the treatment. You can keep your receipt and submit it to WCB yourself, but reimbursement cannot be guaranteed.

RCMP & Veterans Affairs Canada
We direct bill eligible RCMP and Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC) coverage.
A referral or pre-authorization is not typically required. Please provide your applicable identification, claim number or coverage information when booking or when you arrive so we can process billing on your behalf.
Massage Therapy: Comfort, Consent & Draping
Your comfort and informed consent are an important part of your massage therapy appointment. Your therapist will discuss the treatment with you and you are encouraged to ask questions, provide feedback, or request changes at any time.
You only undress to your personal comfort level. Appropriate draping is used throughout treatment, and only the area being treated is uncovered. If you prefer to remain clothed, your therapist can adapt the treatment accordingly.
Pregnancy, Babies & Children
Pregnancy
Pregnant patients are welcome for both chiropractic and massage therapy care. Please let us know how far along you are and include any relevant pregnancy or health information in your intake forms.
For massage therapy, pregnancy pillows are available in several sizes to support comfortable positioning, and treatment can also be provided in a side-lying position.
Babies & Children
We welcome patients of all ages. A parent or guardian must complete the required paperwork and consent for minors when applicable. Parents and guardians are welcome to remain in the treatment room, and some children and teens may feel more comfortable having them there. Depending on the child's age, maturity and treatment needs, the practitioner may also discuss whether a parent or guardian should remain present or onsite during the appointment.
Babies and children are welcome to accompany a parent or guardian when needed, including into the treatment room. Strollers, breastfeeding and bottle-feeding are welcome, and our patient washroom includes a baby change table.
We simply ask that children remain with their parent or guardian and that everyone help us maintain a calm clinic environment.
Parking & Accessibility
Free parking is available in the parking area at the front of the clinic. Please do not park behind the building, as the rear parking area is private.
Erindale Chiropractic is located at ground level with no stairs. An accessible parking stall is available near the clinic with curb access. Please note that our entrance doors are not automatic.
Our patient washroom is wheelchair accessible, with grab bars and enough space for wheelchairs and strollers. A baby change table is also available.
Our waiting area has seating and room for wheelchairs, walkers and strollers. We also have a designated boot area and coat hangers for your belongings.
Before Your Appointment
Feeling unwell? If you have a fever, contagious illness or are otherwise potentially infectious, please contact us to cancel or reschedule your appointment.
Alcohol, cannabis and other impairing substances: Please arrive able to participate fully in your assessment and treatment. If you arrive impaired, your appointment will be postponed because impairment can affect informed consent, communication, feedback and treatment safety.
Scents: Please avoid wearing perfume, cologne or other strong fragrances to your appointment, as some patients and staff may be sensitive to scents.
When to Call Us Before Coming In
If you've recently had surgery, have a new or acute injury, or aren't sure whether chiropractic or massage therapy is appropriate for you, please give us a call before your appointment.
Our chiropractic assistants can help with many questions and, when appropriate, can arrange for you to speak with a chiropractor or massage therapist before your appointment.
A Few More Things to Know
Appointment reminders: If you provide an email address or mobile number, you can receive appointment reminders through Jane. Reminder preferences can be adjusted to suit you. As automated reminders aren't guaranteed, we recommend keeping a note of your appointment time as well.
Service animals: Service animals are welcome. Please be aware that some of our clinic plants may be harmful to animals if eaten.
Payment: Payment is due at the time of your appointment. We accept Visa, Mastercard, debit, cash and Erindale Chiropractic gift certificates. Gift certificates are available for purchase at the front desk for chiropractic and massage therapy appointments.
